PUBLICATION FEE
Financial support for publication is enabled from external sources such as academic institutions, academic societies, academic foundations or government grants, and partly by charging authors with the Article Processing Charge (APC).
The APC for authors in the OJER is 110 EUR.
The APC allows the covering of (1) the operative costs of the publication procedures (editing, processing, indexing), and (2) the administrative costs (web hosting, web mastering, upgrades) which ensure maintaining the publications and their contents available online, as requested by the Open Access policy.
The APC is the only fee for the online publishing of an article. It is important that only authors of accepted articles are charged APC and the payment procedure begins after an article has been accepted for publication.
There is a fee waiver, and authors with insufficient fundings or authors from low-income countries may apply for partial discount. Applications to fee waiver are made independently from editors and reviewers so that the editorial and reviewing processes are not affected.
